The Morrigan Aerie Glossary of terms.

 

Abhlóir – buffoon

Anam cara – A bond between a dragon and his/her mate. One member of the couple     

                       must have dragon blood for the bond to form. Composed of The

                       Compulsion, The Awareness, The Knowing, The Bond.

Ancasta – Ruler of Dubnos.

Aon duine a bhfuil a fhios cad a tharla ar Meán Fómhair an chéad – Someone who             

                        knows what happened on September first.

The Awareness – The second step of the Anam Cara. The destined mates desire to learn

                             more about each other, the sound of their voice is usually the most

                             noticeable, followed by small features.

The Bond – The final step of the Anam Cara when the mind, body, soul and life is joined

                    together. Telepathic speech is not limited by distance. Able to feel the mood

                    and pain of the other. Though rare, there have been bonds between more than

                    2 people. Usually centered around the weakest member of the group.

Coimeádaí Staire – History Keeper

The Compulsion – The first step of the Anam Cara. The individual knows their destined

                               mate is near and seeks them out. This stage is usually unrecognized.

Dubnos – Underworld or Hell

The Knowing – The longest part of the Anam Cara. It gives the fated the ability to get

                          glimpses of each other’s thoughts and limited telepathic speech between

                          them. They also get glimpses of the moods and physical sensations of eac

                          other.
